When the AI Assistant is enabled in your district/school, leaders will choose:
the specific walkthrough forms the Assistant will be available in
the specific users who will have access to the Assistant (can be enabled for a specific list of people or specific roles)
1. Start a walkthrough on the teacher.
2. Begin to complete the form.
3. You can complete none, some or all of the form before you use the AI Assistant.
4. Click on the top right icon to open the AI Assistant sidebar.
5. Four prompts are preloaded. You can select one or type your own question.
6. The AI Assistant will look at all of the recent observations for this teacher (currently set to all observations in the current school year).
Click on the "Recent observations loaded" to see a list of the observations.
7. If you'd like to see one of the former observations, click on the name and it will open in a new tab. This will show you the complete observation (all questions and notes).
Tip: The AI Assistant only gives you access to observations that you already have access to in the system.
For example: if a peer observer does not have access to see a Principal's observations in Classroom Mosaic, the AI Assistant will not pull any observation data from the Principal's observations.
8. If needed, you can copy the responses.
Additional Ways to Use the AI Assistant
9. The chat box can be used like any other AI tool.
Type questions and the AI Assistant will respond with its knowledge from inside Classroom Mosaic and from the general AI knowledge base.
You can also ask followup questions to an AI Assistant response.
10. To begin a new thread of questions, click the + sign in the upper right corner.
11. You can start a new thread by clicking a question or typing your own question.
12. The AI Assistant will respond to your questions and the "conversation" with the AI in the current session/observation.
13. To see previous question threads (conversations with the AI) in this observations, click on the dropdown menu under"Assistant" at the top right of the page.
Providing Feedback to the AI Assistant
14. In order to improve the responses provided by the AI Assistant, observers should use the 👍 and 👎 in the chat box.
The more information users provide, the better the AI Assistant outputs will become.
15. Click here to let the AI Assistant know it generated a good response.
16. Click 👎 to let the AI Assistant know that it generated a poor response.
17. Select the appropriate choice for what was wrong.
18. Optional Click "Additional details (optional)" field to add more information.
19. Click "Submit Feedback"
