This guide provides a step-by-step approach to effectively setting goals, strategies, and actions within your School Improvement Plan.

1. Open your School Improvement Plan
2. Click "Setup" to go directly to the setup tasks
3. The other tasks are hidden until you complete setup. You can click "Complete the Setup tasks to see this page" to be jumped to the setup tasks
4. Select Mission & Vision
5. Add your Mission or "In progress" if it is not set yet
6. Add your Vision or "In progress" if it is not set yet
7. Submit the task when you are finished
8. Click the Comprehensive Needs Assessment for Equity
9. Click "Attach File" to add your Needs Assessment following the steps listed.
10. Submit the task when you are finished
11. Open one of your goals
12. Complete the questions as appropriate
13. Click "Add Strategy" to add a new strategy or select an existing on to make changes
14. Select a predefined strategy or add your own
15. You can assign a task member to a strategy to allow them to make changes. Click "Add task member"
16. Select someone who is already associated with the SCIP or search for anyone
17. Click "Create"
18. Open an existing strategy to make edits to it
19. Click "Add Action"
20. Select a predefined action or add your own
21. You can assign a task member to an action to allow them to make changes. Click "Add task member"
22. Select someone who is already associated with the SCIP or search for anyone
23. Click "Create" once everyone is assigned
24. Click an action to open it
25. Click "Edit" to make changes to the action
26. You can change the status of the action, assign task members and even move the action to a different strategy
27. Click "Save Changes" once you are done making changes
28. Once the action is done click "Mark as Completed"
29. Once you have planned the actions and strategies for a goal you can submit the goal.
30. You will be asked if you want to submit just the goal or the goal and strategies. If you are finished planning the strategies you should submit them as well.
